  Total Disappointment - I actually used to work for Ann Howard the founder of this restaurant and remember her amazing food and service. On a recent return trip to Farmington we ate at Apricots. I was expecting a wonderful Sunday brunch but was so disappointed. The bread on the table was cold and at least a day old, the salad bar so sparse it was a shock and the food completely underwhelming. So sad, Ann Howard would be shocked.

  They changed the menu and maybe ownership it was a disappointment. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. We called made a reservation, ask if they had the sword fish, it was our favorite menu item. The person on the phone didn't know, said to check the website. We didn't check, because they had other great menu items that we always enjoyed...
  We get there, they didn't have our name done for reservation : /, they sat us at a random table, for the walk ins I guess.
  Our waiter greeted us, we order a cocktail, and said we'd both like the sword fish... He informs us the menu changed. OK we'll have the filet mignon,
  Oh that's off the menu too!
  OK we'll have the scallops,
  Oh, we are out of scallops tonight!
  So we decided to look at the menu, and what used to be a fine dining restaurant menu, turned into a menu items that were not fine dining.
  We ordered a pear cranberry salad, one that the waiter said was a customer favorite, the dressing was like paste. Awful..
  I had the special that was lamb chops, awful, I asked med/well I received them Rare. Oh there were 2 of them.
  My boyfriend ordered the chicken panko dinner... Another disappointment.
  We could of went to a diner and had a better meal.
  I guess our mistake for not checking the website for the new menu....

  Absolutely incredible food! When I ate here, I ordered a delicious "Red-Fish" entree which satisfied my appetite and was made even better with the great combination of spices and local vegetables and herbs.

  I remember when this was Anne Howard's and it continues to be amazing. The views of the river are spectacular. The meals and food are reasonable considering the quality of the food. Great options all year round. Stop in sometime and try!
